On May 14th, 2010 Judge Garzón was provisionally suspended from his duties. Finally almost two years later, on February 9th 2012, Spain's Supreme Court has disbarred Garzon for 11 years. This is an unprecedented feat which has been criticized by the international press and all kinds of organizations defending human rights.
